Three steps. One tiny masterpiece.
A data URL stores an image directly in text, which can be useful for small inline assets, prototypes, or self-contained files. This tool encodes the edited PNG preview, not the original source bytes. Large data URLs increase HTML or CSS size and are usually better served as separate files.
Upload your image and select the output dimension.
Click Generate data URL to encode the rendered PNG.
Choose the raw URL, HTML image tag, or CSS background, then copy the result.
Give your icon a home.
Upload your files to your website’s public directory, then add the link tags inside your HTML head.

Open toolDoes Base64 compress an image?+
No. Base64 encoding typically increases byte size by about one third before transport compression. Use it selectively for small assets.
Is my original file preserved byte for byte?+
No. The tool exports the edited image as PNG, then encodes those PNG bytes.
Can I use a data URL as a favicon?+
Some browsers support it, but a stable, crawlable image URL is a better choice for public-site favicons and search discovery.
Little tools run on a little kindness.
